The current 'chemreactors' line comprises 8 models, from 15L (compact version, height max. 215cm, for laboratories) up to 250L (nominal reactor capacity). All reactor vessels provide full visibility for inspection. We supply the suitable glassware for every application. Depending on the available space, the condensers can be arranged horizontally, vertically, or as tubular heat exchangers for larger volumes. A wide choice of options is available. Büchi “chemical reactors” are suitable for a wide range of applications in the research and development field, as well as for pilot plant processes in the following industries:

BÜCHIFLEX

Flexible glass connections. Reliability and functionality depend heavily on the quality of the connections that join the pieces of apparatus. All büchiflex DN15-150 connections are leak proof, pressure tight and allow stress-free installation between units.

Büchi use just three materials, borosilicate glass, enameled steel and PTFE, which offer:

• Very good chemical resistance, particularly to strong acids
• Smooth, nonporous surfaces
• Physiological safety
• Inertness
• Transparency (borosilicate glass)

BÜCHI HEAT EXCHANGER

SILICON CARBIDE (SiC) Pressure free directly sintered carbide used for the inner tubes is a technical ceramic with very high heat conductivity (see graphic) and excellent mechanical characteristics. Each tube is pressure tested to 180bar. Even changes in pressure and temperature do not affect the mechanical properties of this material. Excellent erosion stability permits high flow rates of the media. SiC is manufactured without the use of binders or fillers and is chemically stable over a temperature range of –70 to +260C.
