Refractometers – Handheld – Analog – MASTER-20α
MASTER-20α Handheld Analog Refractometer is a precision handheld optical instrument designed for measuring low-concentration solutions in a wide range of industrial and food-related applications. It is part of the MASTER-α / MASTER-Pα series and is specifically engineered for accurate Brix measurement in the range of 0.0 to 20.0%, making it ideal for dilute samples.
This model is commonly used for quality control and process monitoring of low-sugar fruit juices, beverages, cutting oils, and other industrial fluids where precise low-range concentration measurement is required. Its sensitivity in the lower Brix range ensures reliable readings for applications where small variations in concentration can significantly impact product performance or quality.
The MASTER-20α Handheld Analog Refractometer features automatic temperature compensation (ATC), allowing it to maintain accuracy even when sample temperatures fluctuate during testing. It is also built with an IP65-rated water-resistant design, making it suitable for use in wet, demanding, or washdown environments commonly found in production facilities and laboratories.
The MASTER-20 series is available in two body types to accommodate different chemical environments. The standard MASTER-20α Handheld Analog Refractometer is constructed with a durable metal body, offering strong mechanical resistance and long-term durability for general applications. For samples that are salty or acidic, the MASTER-20Pα Handheld Analog Refractometer is recommended, as its plastic housing provides enhanced resistance to corrosion while maintaining identical measurement performance.
Both versions share the same technical specifications and measurement capabilities, ensuring consistent and reliable results regardless of the selected material configuration. Manufactured by Atago, these instruments are designed with a strong focus on accuracy, usability, and durability.
