  • Small benchtop footprint with large illuminated viewing window.
  • Fully self-contained internal hermetic refrigeration system – no external refrigeration units or controllers needed.
  • Digital temperature controller maintaining bath temperature within +/- 0.1°C.
  • Includes top mount for viscometer (viscometer available separately).
  • Top heater and internal air system providing a continuous blanket of dry air over samples to reduce or eliminate moisture buildup.

Description

The King BLB liquid bath is available in (3) models based on your temperature needs and can run multiple test methods with different hardware configurations.

Low-Temperature Viscosity:
– The King BLB tests low-temperature viscosity of ATF’s, gear oils, hydraulic fluids, and other fluid lubricants using a rotational viscometer mounted on the bath top after cooling to a predetermined test temperature based on the desired test method (D2983, DIN 51398, IP267).
– Unique Tannas SimAir® Test Cells provide proper sample temperature control for accurate, precise results and permits each test cell to operate independently, increasing productivity for D2983 and IP 267 testing.
– Features a 12-position carousel.

King Cloud & Pour Point Bath:
– The King BLB can measure low temperature Cloud & Pour Point tests of petroleum products – an index of the lowest temperature of its utility for certain applications. The BLB offers the manual D97, D2500, and D5853 testing techniques and a self-contained refrigeration system with ramp/soak temperature programming ability. The King instrument is a cost-effective and user-friendly alternative to expensive automated Cloud & Pour Point devices.
